Ecuadorian Shaman (Medicine Man) started his medicinal studies at the age of 12, under his grandfather and predecessor. He spoke of the connection between our souls and the stars in the sky, the many plants he creates his medicinal concoctions from, and the purities and impurities of society. His inability to keep a supply of medicine is a result of lack of preservatives. Each time someone seeks out a cure for their ailment, the Shaman must journey in to the rain forest to fill the prescription. Among the 500 or so plants and trees he has cataloged for medicine, there remains over 2000 species which have not been recorded and may have been lost forever as a result of poor record keeping by the earlier Shaman. >
